Michael Tolar

Pastor

Rev. Michael Tolar began serving MMBC in 2005.  Michael was born and raised in Anderson, SC.  Michael has been married to Carrie since 1999, and they have three sons, Jacob, Ethan, and Andrew.  He and Carrie began their ministry at First Baptist Church of Tahoe City, CA, before making Raleigh their home. He received a BA in Theatre from Winthrop University, and a Master of Divinity from Campbell University Divinity School in 2010.   In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with family, taking walks with Carrie, enjoying good food and traveling.  

Allie Chasin

Director of Students & Disciple Life
Dr. Allie Chasin has been serving at Mount Moriah since 2020. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Shepherds Theological Seminary. Allie has been married to Scott since 2011 and they serve regularly together in the student ministry. In her free time, Allie enjoys reading, going to the beach, the color pink, and reading again.

April Nipper

Office Administrator
April Nipper joined the Mount Moriah team in 2021. April has been serving in the local church since 1998, leading preschool ministries, adminitration, and served as a church planter in Detroit, Michigan.  April has been married to her husband, Mark, since 1997 and they have two children; Adam and Hailey, who are both pursuing higher education. In her free time, April enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Benjamin Steward

Children & Education Pastor
Rev. Benjamin Steward began serving at Mount Moriah in 2020. Benjamin holds a Bachelor's in Ministry from Midwestern Seminiary. Benjamin has been married to Tess since 2024. In his free time, they love playing board games, going to the movies, and sharing meals with friends.

Richard Wade

Minister of Music & Worship
Rev. Richard Wade joined the Mount Moriah Staff in 2022. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music from the University of Central Florida, and his Master of Music degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary.
Richard has been married to his wife, Angela, since 1984 and are the proud parents of two wonderful girls – Rachel and Natalie. In his free time, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, playing the piano and trumpet, reading, cooking, playing golf, and traveling, especially to the mountains or Disney World.
