Why join a church?

When we become followers of Christ,
God makes us part of his larger family.
As a family member, you receive privileges:
fellowship, inspiring worship, and spiritual growth.
God also asks you to be responsible:
by giving, serving, and participating in the
life of a local church as well.

How do I become a member?

Please call our church office to meet with Pastor Michael to discuss your desire to become a member.  You may participate in our Membership Pathways Class to learn more about our beliefs and how our church functions.  Those desiring to join will be presented for membership during the Sunday morning Worship Service.

What does it mean to be a member of Mount Moriah?

  • We have professed faith in Jesus as our personal Savior and Lord.
  • We have demonstrated this faith through baptism.
  • We share a common dedication to Christ and His Kingdom.
  • We are committed to the precepts set forth in our Membership Covenant and our Affirmation of Faith.

Having received Christ as my Lord and Savior and been baptized, and being in agreement with Mount Moriah’s vision and structure, I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with the Mount Moriah Church family. In doing so, I commit myself to God and to the other members to do the following:

1. I will protect the unity of my church by:

  • Acting in love towards other members,
  • Praying for other members,
  • Supporting the elected leadership
  • Refusing to gossip,
  • Being slow to take offense,
  • Quick to reconcile.
  • Praying and working for its growth,
  • Inviting the unchurched to attend,
  • Warmly welcoming those who visit,
  • Being involved in missions,
  • Siding one another in sickness and distress.

2. I will share the responsibility of my church by:

3. I will serve the ministry of my Church by:

  • Discovering and using my gifts and talents,
  • Being involved in Christian education,
  • Developing a servant’s heart,
  • Growing as a Christian disciple.
  • Attending faithfully,
  • Giving regularly,
  • Living a Godly life,
  • Keeping my body as the temple of God,
  • Nurturing a Christian home

4. I will support the testimony of my church by:
